Note on verso: " c. 1915 NATIVE SONS AND DAUGHTERS OF SEATTLE Cosmopolitan to a degree, about the only class of citizens limited in numbers are those who have been born in Seattle. This is due to the fact of this city's rapid growth, her population of 330,00 consisting largely of people who have come here from other localities. Perhaps the most picturesque as well as pathetic of all Seattle's types are the real "Native Children" or Siwashes who crouch at the feet of the skyscrapers and offer their quaint Indian baskes, mats, bead work, and other curios to the passing throng of tourists."
