Caption: A common scene in 1882, '83,'84, '85, '86 at the West end of Vine, Cedar, Broad Streets, Seattle. The canooes were those of Indians on their way from the North to the hop fields of White and Puyallup Valleys. This part of the city front has since been covered by four lines of railroad, wharves, warehouses, shops, streets, etc.
