Description	Monuments. George Washington. Statue by Lorado Taft. University of Washington. Dedicated June 14, 1909 at the Alaska Yukon Pacific exposition. Moved to permanent base in 1939. This inscription was on the temporary pedestal as well as the present pedestal: Present to the University of Washington/ June 14, 1909, by the Rainier Chapter Daughters/ Of the American Revolution assisted by the school children of the State of Washington/ And by State commission of the Alaska Yukon/ Pacific exposition.
