Description	Construction of International Commerce and Industry buildings (designed by Walker & McGough), Playhouse, and Opera House, Century 21 Exposition (Seattle World's Fair). On the Playhouse, designed by Kirk, Wallace, McKinley & Associates ;: “An adaptable proscenium which can adjust from 36 to 60 ft. has been designed for the stage of the small theater. A shell arrangement with movable reflectors permits the staging of music events which require an intimate setting. Lobby and foyer are carpeted and fully furnished.” (An Architect’s Guidebook to the Seattle World’s Fair. Seattle, Pacific Builder and Engineer, April 1962, p. 27.) On the Opera House, designed by Schack, Young & Myers and remodeled by Priteca & Chiarelli: “The brand-new Opera House (225 Mercer Street) had been constructed within the shell of Seattle's old Civic Auditorium -- which New York Times critic Harold C.
