Computers say yes or no only
Unlike affairs of the heart, the problem solving a computer handles must be logically planned in advance. This program is a series of detailed instructions stored in the computer’s “memory”. The computer says yes or no to any set of alternatives by means of electronic switching (on, off). It thus arrives at a solution in much the same way the game of Twenty Questions is played. Without man’s control, the computer is simply a large mass of inanimate machinery.
