About this collection

A Gourmet's Notebook was started in November 1972 by David Brewster and others, with the first issue published as a supplement to the Argus. In 1977, the publication was taken over by Patricia Siggs and Diane Huey, who continued to produce the newsletter until 1991. Each issue reviews local restaurants in the Puget Sound area, with an emphasis on restaurants in Seattle. Each issue also includes a contents list on the front page, and each volume includes an index in the last issue.

This collection currently includes all issues from November 1977 through 1991.
