Description	Brochure from water show in Memorial Stadium, Century 21 Exposition (Seattle World’s Fair). “Negotiations are being completed for a free water show at the World’s Fair -- with four performances a day in the 12,600-seat Memorial Stadium during most of the fair. A cast of two dozen daredevil water skiers, acrobats and motorboat drivers will skim around a narrow, oval-shaped tank inside the stadium. Tommy Bartlett, radio-television personality, will stage the show. The Olympia Brewing Co. plans to sponsor the attraction, officials said. The 26-foot-wide, four-foot-high ‘aquadrome,’ circling the outer rim of the stadium floor, is under construction…The $50,000 concrete tank will contain 700,000 gallons of water three and a half feet deep. The tank will provide a race track-like course about 330 feet around. Two movable bridges will give performers for other attractions access to the center of the stadium… High-speed water skiing, ski-jumps from floating platforms, gymnastics, human pyramids, barefoot water skiing and costumed production numbers are planned…The ‘aquadrome’ will be splashproof so spectators won’t get wet. The Howard S. Wright Construction Co. is building the tank.” (Stanton H. Patty, Seattle Times, April 1, 1962, p. C.)
